I'm going to piggie-back this thread as the OP has not put SF in the title.
Can anyone come up with some more general short stories, please. Adventure, detection, humour or whatever. The sort of things that kill a handy quarter of an hour but with a beginning, a middle and an end. Much of the stuff I have looked at so far are nothing more than snapshots of a moment in time and I don't call that a 'story'.
