That is something that has caused problems in the recent past for manufacturers of other consumer items that can connect to a pc by USB. (picture frames, USB storage devices, misc other things).

Back in the "olden days", I once got a replacement hard drive that was full of somebody else's porn (in an AOL download folder, no less). Apparently, they forgot to reformat it.
