That is most likely true, however its also incredibly sad.
As consumers we owe it to ourselves to know what we are dealing with. I was very lucky........when I bought the first Kindle the original K1, I stumbled on this site right away........and have never looked back. (Thanks to all who helped and were so patient!!)
We must stop taking manufacturers words that "you can't do this, or that" with our toys.......we must do more research, and educate those who feel they are bound by silly rules.
Research and education equals freedom, people! (raises right fist!)
As for those who feel their kids wouldn't want their stuff, that may be true....but its not just about the kids, is it?
Who among us doesn't have friends who would love a copy of a book we have?
As for the kids, if they are educated as well, they won't have to worry about being bound by drm..........I"m just sayin'............
