The point usually made is that Apple TV has failed as a standard so far -- that even Netflix is flaying its greenish tart-sweet fruit flesh.

I don't see how anyone can take that as an insult to Apple when we tend to look to them for more active kit. You don't see me belittling Apple's strengths on this thread (but neither do I intend to lick their products verbally -- I believe in choices, not brand wars or inexorable allegiances).
