I'm not seeing this. I have played with the bookshelves a lot lately, including reading a set of short stories that was on one, and haven't seen this,

2) If I'm reading a book that's included on a Shelf I've created, when my KT goes into sleep mode it doesn't use the book's cover as a screen display; instead it generates a text screen with the book's display name from the file's metadata in a large (24pt or so), italicised serif font as a title. I know it's the KT doing that, because that screen doesn't exist anywhere in the actual e.book, and it's always the same font and formatting, regardless of the book itself, for every Shelved book on my KT.
(If I'm reading a book that hasn't been assigned to a Shelf and let the KT go into sleep mode, the sleep display is still the book's cover ... well, allowing for the bug of the firmware using the previous book's cover the first time it goes into sleep mode.)

I have seen this cover a couple of times but hadn't noticed the pattern. I just did some experimenting, and I think this is what is happening:
- If I start reading a book a new book from a shelf, the text cover is used.
- If I start reading a book from the general library, or the carousel, a real cover is used. But, it is from the previous book.
- If I open a book from a shelf that has previously been opened and had a cover generated for the sleep screen, the cover will be used.
That is the result of some very quick tests, so I might have missed something. In any case, it looks like a bug rather than something deliberate. Maybe when they fix the use last cover bug, this will get fixed to.
