My KT's on the "official" release of FW 2.0, and lately I've been creating some shelves and have discovered what I think are undesirable behaviours by the firmware. I'm mentioning them here to see if others have seen them as well, but also because I suspect they're bugs.
1) When I finish a book that's been added to a shelf, the book is marked complete, and left in my Lbrary, but it's automatically removed from the Shelf. Note I haven't deleted the book; as I said it's still in my main Library; it just no longer appears on the Shelf it was previously assigned to.
2) If I'm reading a book that's included on a Shelf I've created, when my KT goes into sleep mode it doesn't use the book's cover as a screen display; instead it generates a text screen with the book's display name from the file's metadata in a large (24pt or so), italicised serif font as a title. I know it's the KT doing that, because that screen doesn't exist anywhere in the actual e.book, and it's always the same font and formatting, regardless of the book itself, for every Shelved book on my KT.
(If I'm reading a book that hasn't been assigned to a Shelf and let the KT go into sleep mode, the sleep display is still the book's cover ... well, allowing for the bug of the firmware using the previous book's cover the first time it goes into sleep mode.)
I haven't found any user options to turn these behaviours on or off. Removing a completed book from a Shelf seems like a bug; the display of a device-generated title seems harmless enough, but it is unexpected. What's wrong with the book's cover for the sleep display, as we used to have? Or is this simply a bug, and the text display of the book's metatitle was intended for another purpose?
Have other people seen these?
