My signature starts here: Returned the KOBO and got a Sony Reader. Traded the Sony Reader for an Acer Aspire One. Between the netbook and an Android tablet I am quite happy.

Yes, we need not have only one gadget. I got a good deal on a refurbished Nook Tablet at Overstock, not as a replacement for my KT as an eInk reader but as a supplement for reading. The tab has many virtues--it's fast and responsive and it has some multitasking--but like other LCD devices it is hard on the eyes, even with text on a sepia background and brightness dimmed. It will be good for dipping into various ebooks, like the massive collected classics from Delphi (all Dickens is 116MB, total Jules Verne 112MB), and a color atlas will be a must. One fabulous feature is when you press and hold on a word, a popup menu gives you the choice of the Merriam-Webster dictionary, Wikipedia, or a Google search.
But I am wedded to eInk for straight reading. While waiting for new, improved firmware, I am handling the KT carefully and not trying to put too many books on it.
