Well, I've taken the plunge and ordered myself an Onyx Boox i62HD.

There doesn't appear to be much competition in 6" HD b/w eInk readers currently, and the places that sell them don't seem to be big on Xmas sales, so I'm hoping I've minimised the risk of buyer's remorse (fingers crossed).
