EPub Page Display

I've tried converting a few books over to epub and downloaded a few public domain books that are already in epub format and one peculiarity I've noticed is to do with the page display. On the smallest font setting, I get a full page of text on each "page".

If I increase the font by one step, causing 4-5 lines to no longer fit on one page, the viewer moves those lines onto the next page, as you would expect. However, after those 4-5 lines are drawn, the rest of the 2nd page is totally blank. With the contents of what would have been page 2 on the small font setting, now been shown on page 3.

Where as with the fb2 format, when a few lines of text overflow to a new page, everything is shifted down slightly, so page 2 would contain 4-5 lines of overflowed text from page 1 plus as much of the original page 2 as would fit.

I find the fb2 way of working much easier to read. It's a little annoying with the epub viewer to read a full page, then have to read just a couple of lines before pressing the next page button.

Is this a peculiarity of the epub format or the epub viewer on the hanlin?

Also, is there a way to change the font used to display epub books as there is with the fb2 viewer?
