Am now up to Calibre 0.8.65
Still have the program collapsing running under Work PC (XP upgrade to 3), Acer laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium) and Asus Desktop (Windows 7 Home premium with 8Gb RAM and 1 Tb hard drive. Calibre library on 500GB SSD with plenty of room.
Ran under Calibre under debug on the Acer laptop and when it crashed following debug text resulted.
"alibre Debug log

Started up in 106.65 seconds with 10048 books"
As you can see there are a number of books (10,048) which would differ from most Calibre users but I know there are a few with larger libraries.
The last version that I have to keep returning to is 0.8.55
It is really frustrating and, as it seems, no others are having this problem whether it is something in my setup with Calibre that is causing this problem.
Help please..
