I wonder how hot these packs will get during fast-charging? Ordinary 2500-ish mAH AA's that charge in 15 minutes get hot. If these charge "all over" I expect they'll generate more heat.

Super-capacitors could be much cheaper if manufactored in larger quantities.
The bigger problem I see with them is catastrophic discharge if they are damaged. A large tank of gasoline or diesel is much safer to have around. You could put one behind a concrete wall and earthen berm if you were running your house on one. I just don't see a good way to use them for a car.
