Reports still coming in of more houses lost to flooding in the city of Uji, just a few kilometers from here. You Japanese green tea drinkers probably have Ujicha on your shelves. The Uji river went above flood banks around 4am and started filling homes along the course. Quite a few deaths and injuries reported. Uji reported 10cm of rain in one hour... and it rained all night long.
There was even some flooding in my area, (but well below my place. I'm on the top of a hill here, about 100 meters,) with one reported death. That certainly was some rain last night.
