Thanks for the advice Peter on getting calibre to "recognise" the Kobo. I have done this and the odd thing is that calibre now gives a tick to the books I have bought, and one book (Middlemarch) which I downloaded after the upgrade. But it just doesn't see the other public domain books already loaded onto the Kobo.

It isn't a problem, I just thought I should report it.
