ok, thanks.
i had found some different threads talking about dropbox, but i really want to avoid that solution.
I imagine I can setup a script or something on the HTPC that will shut down calibre at like 1 am or whenever and update backup b from backup a and then restart calibre. that way it's automatic and I don't have to worry about it.
