There's an amusing story
here about an angry* group of authors who took to Twitter to shake their metaphorical torches and pitchforks in the direction of LenkInk, a site that allows users to lend each other digital versions of certain books. It seems that this author outcry may have resulted in the site being taken down.
The amusing part of this story is that LendInk isn't a piracy site, and what its doing doesn't appear to be illegal. LendInk doesn't actually host any files, and it only facilitates lending where its allowed to do so under the contracts between Amazon and the authors. Whoops!
