have you tried amazon's own tech support , rather than discuss in their forum - they will phone you back for free & stay on the line to try to fix the K4PC problem.

try also going to hidden folder users / yourname / appdata/ local & delete the amazon folder there, then start over - worked for me.

also, make absolutely sure you don't still have another , older version of K4PC installed somewhere else, I had 2 versions in 2 different locations at one point.

suggest search entire C drive for Kindle and also search entire drive for Amazon, to be extra sure.
