In my experience an xml to HTML conversion is not always a straight forward operation. HTML is based on xml but the former does not normally contain HTML markup.
I've converted plenty of xml docs to html. I can take a look at yours if you like and let you know what I think. my email: princessndragon ~~at~~ gmail.
