Read all the books in the (Riyria Revelations), great fantasy. After that I went on to read Steven Lyle Jordan Verdant Skies and Verdant Pioneers. I haven't read that much Sci-Fi from before but I liked both books and got interested in reading more Sci-Fi. After that I picked up Wool - Omnibus Edition which contains the books 1-5 by Hugh C. Howey. This was kind of an eerie Sci-Fi story that opened up for more books to come. Not one of my favorites but it was ok.
