There's another game (Rage of Bahamut) that was plagued with rampant "hacking" recently by this same kind of exploit. Someone installs the game, creates an account, completes the tutorial, gets their free stuff, and flashes a new (or just the same) ROM. Then, they have a "new" device to create a new account, do all that other stuff, and funnel the free stuff to some other account.
