0.8.63 strips non-breaking spaces when converting from epub to mobi

After upgrading this morning to the latest version of calibre, I'm noticing that non-breaking spaces (nbsp) are being turned into normal spaces when I convert from epub to mobi6.

This makes for strange-looking French punctuation, which gets broken up at the end of lines when normal spaces are used.

A book I converted yesterday in 0.8.62 didn't behave this way, and the same book I converted today using an older version of calibre portable didn't either (in both cases, the non-breaking spaces were retained correctly in the mobi files).

Has something changed in the latest version? Should I adjust my settings somewhere?

Any help greatly appreciated!
