For what it's worth, when I tried Liz Castro's embed.epub file from her http://www.pigsgourdsandwikis.com website for April, 2011, the handwriting font shows up happily enough for the replica of her grandmother's letter with 2.0.2.

All I need to do now is to remember why I downloaded the file last year though vague memories suggests that it was part of testing fonts on a Kobo WiFi.
