I suppose one of my favorite vampire films of all-time would fit into the category of fan-fiction. It is a spin-off of a spin-off: Shadow of the Vampire (2000). It is a fictional account of the making of Nosferatu. You know how they got the vampire to look so chilling on film back in 1922? It wasn't special effects. The director hired a real vampire for the filming. The results were great, but a lot of cast members went missing.
