Good morning, everyone! It's 'Turning Day!' Tonight we turn the corner onto the new month, and hopefully just another few weeks of this super hot weather. Pray for Snow! I have a big mug (my own true mug) of Ahmad's "English Breakfast" tea to wash down some Cajun spiced chicken and rice to start the day off right. Then I'm going to begin searching for a bigger mug. Mine is one liter and I'd really prefer something just a bit bigger. And something I can get my hand inside of for washing. As it is, my wife has to wash my current mug and that's not fair to her. I don't have particularly large hands but I still can't get them inside my regular mug to really scrub out all the tannin left over from my tea. After a few days it really begins to build up and make the tea taste a bit bitter.
Oh!! Big news from this past vacation... I drank a cup of coffee! And I enjoyed it! The restaurant owners put a cup down in front of me while we were chatting one evening, already spiked with cream and sugar, and without thinking I picked it up and began drinking it. I was half way through before my wife noticed what I was doing and mentioned it. We were both pretty shocked. I'm thinking now that perhaps it's time for me to go to someplace like Starbucks and have a 'Coffee tasting' event to see if there are others that I can enjoy. The Starbucks that I frequent for my afternoon Ice Tea and hour's reading offers a 8-10 different coffee tasting party, so we're going to give that a shot. This could very well lead to a whole new lifestyle for me!
