I guess it is a very good idea. The more suggestions (doc samples, snapshots, explanations etc) the better.

I think the idea to use the paper mode (comics mode) within crop settings is fantastic. I will push that idea to developers immediately.
Additionaly I am going to suggest them to extend the two column (paper) mode to a user defined amount of columns. Very often there are more than two columns in documents. Same also for comics mode.
