I always liked the Matt Helm Series. I hated the movies they made from it. They made the 4 movies into comedies and bad ones at that. I have all 28 of the books and have read them numerous times. The series started in 1960 and ran through the early '90s. Matt Helm was the original tough smart guy, like Reacher is now.
