MobileRead Forums - View Single Post - Validate is there sometimes, and sometimes it isn't

The version being run is definitely 0.5.3. I've searched my system and there are no other versions lurking elsewhere now.

All the toolbar items are checked and displaying. The View menu doesn't have an option to choose which menus are displayed, and it's the Tools menu that's missing. Unless that's not in 0.5.3? If not, how does one edit the metadata?
