My prediction is before Black Friday (23 Nov). It's the single most important shopping day of the holiday season. If it's not on the shelves, most shoppers will get something that is.
According to my order history on my Amazon account, they shipped my Kindle 4NT to me on September 30, 2011, and the announcement was made earlier than that.
