Amazon isn't predictable when it comes to Kindle releases:
  • Nov 07 -- Kindle 1
  • Feb 09 -- Kindle 2
  • Jun 09 -- Kindle DX
  • Aug 10 -- Kindle 3
  • Sep 11 -- Kindle 4
  • Nov 11 -- Kindle Touch, Kindle Fire
My prediction is before Black Friday (23 Nov). It's the single most important shopping day of the holiday season. If it's not on the shelves, most shoppers will get something that is.
