Egad! Just survived an extremely strong line of thunderstorms that moved through our area this afternoon! Skies got very dark so I went outside at 3 to close my car windows - as I was walking back from the parking lot we got hit with straight line winds, followed by torrential rains & lightning! I can still run when I have to!
Result: 40,000 without power in NC. Trees down everywhere. Our power was out for 3 hours .... came back on just as I parked in the driveway! Guinness was still cold in the fridge!
Temps hitting the +100 F for the end of the week .... sigh ....
