We want to make sure that the next release will be tested on a very large set of devices, and we have decided to publish a Beta version for the upcoming 2.2 release. It is available only to the Mantano Reader Premium users, since it contains the whole set of features of the Premium edition.

Hi Jean-Marie.

The issue where I can't open files is happening on three devices, all with different versions of Android (Samsung Galexy Tab with 2.1, HTC Desire HD with 2.3.5 & HTC One X with 4.0.3). The same files fail on all three, so far I've only found this from books bought from either Baen or Book on Board. I can supply you with sample copies if you need them.

The BoB books were originally DRMed but I've stripped that out, but the Baen books are DRM-free. The are stored in a SugarSync folder.

I've tried opening then in Sigil and saving them, converting them epub-to-epub in Calibre but none of those seem to make a difference.

It has reached the point where I've now started to convert them to mobi files and opening them in Kindle for Android, a situation I'd rather not be in.

As to you site login, I've finally managed to get on a PC that I can view the login buttons ousing Firefox, but the other browsers on it fail to show the buttons. Clicking on the Google button and then entering my login details results in a failure ("The connection was interrupted" error message).

Other than this, I need to use a social network login. This represents a problem as I don't use social networking sites, I imagine I'm not the only one who doesn't use them. Luckly enough I had an old Facebook login from when I created an account to have a look at it (it was still live as I testeed it first on thier site), and I got the same error when attempting to log in.

Mantano is still my favourite ebook reader for Android but if I can't open my files or log into you site when I have a problem, I'm not likely to continue to support it.

I'll try out the beta and see if it resolves my epub opening issue (I've paid for Matano so I'm able to use it).

If you want a copy of those files PM me with the email address you want me to send them to.
