Moving on to
Marque and Reprisal, the next book in the Vatta series by Elizabeth Moon. Same reader, but she does seem to have gotten better, or I've just gotten used to her. Still only a 3 out of 5, but that's a significant improvement on how I'd rated the reading of the first book in the series.
