I'm so glad you got it figured out. My biggest fear when I got my new computer was this it wouldn't 'play nice' with my readers. My old computer did NOT play nice with my Kobo, so I understand your frustration.
And on a side note, wasn't sure I'd like Windows7 but I love it. Hope you do too.
