Driver Problem

I just tried to connect my kobo touch to the computer for the first time since the upgrade to 2.0. i wanted to sideload a few books but it appears i have a driver problem becuase my kobo is no longer recognized by my computer and i have no plug-play capacity anymore.

I am hoping there is a way to re-install the drivers without having to factory reset my device. I just lost my shortlist, all stats, etc in the upgrade and it took me a significant time to redo it and set up my kobo how I like it. I REALLY do not want to do it again.

In my attempts to connect I have used multiple cords, tried 4 different USB ports and tried to plug in my cell phone (which worked on all cords and all USB ports) that so I know my problem is specific to the kobo. My kobo recognizes it has been plugged in and prompts me to connect to the computer but then the drive never appears.

Any help or advice is appreciated!

I'm extra anxious because I am trying to upload the third and final book in a trilogy and dying to see how it turns out. I'm sure you understand!
