Another memoir that's free today. (Hope it's okay to post here.)
Apparently first published in 1942, looks like a reprint by the author's son.

Squadron 303 by Arkady Fiedler

This book is a fantastic collection of the celebrated and legendary RAF 303 Fighter Squadron in their defence against the Nazis during the Battle of Britain in 1940.
Accompanied throughout by photographs taken by the author himself during his regular visits to the Northolt station, these illustrations serve as photographic reminders of the pilots’ bravery and victory.
This book is the original wartime translation with the pilots identities safely revealed, as during the book’s original publication and release, their true identities were concealed in order to protect their families from the enemy.
As well as this acknowledgement, the book has the addition of a letter from the Squadron’s leader to the author’s son, detailing the start of their friendship and the beginnings of what came to be known as Squadron 303, the book.
