But I'm not sure "revolutionary" is needed.
What if B&N simpy cooked up a mildly profitable $99 NookColor equivalent (hardware-wise) and spent their time and money beefing up the reading (and buying) experience?
The name of the game is still content revenue and one way to get there is by scarfing up the low-end market. That's what Amazon did with FIRE. Only what was low-end last year is now mid-range.
In the Android minitablet world $99 is the new $199.
