Replacing an epub

I have been reading a some stories published on-line in various formats including ePub. Some are published chapter at a time and I have been downloading the updated ePub

Due to some of the ways I work with my books, I have been doing some small modifications on them after they are on my KT and have started reading them. This has worked fine with firmware 1.9.17. I could correct something, say spelling or the cover inside the ePub or its metadata, copy the book over to the KT replacing the current version and everything would be fine. The KT would not have any problem with this. I could read the book continuing on from where I was before.

With firmware 2.0.0, if I try this, the KT processes the book when disconnected from USB and deletes it. It deletes the ePub file and all references to the book in the database. It doesn't seem to matter what the change is, it just deletes it. Changing the timestamp of the file is fine - the KT will leave the book there. But, any other change results in the book being removed.

Has anyone else tried this and had different result? Or is what I am doing weird?
