Where did you get that from? I certainly did nowhere in the original .epub change any color, least of all for headings.
EDIT: I see what may have happened here. When I said "that's a bug in my book" then I did not refer to my .epub book itself; I used the saying "in my book" to mean "that's a bug in my opinion/understanding".
