Fixed that for you...
For the first series you said there are 8 books at a minimum length of 15k locations (~900 pages), even assuming that is the average length, that's 7,200 pages which is more than most people read in any time frame you normally measure in "weeks". It is mostly the length of the individual volumes that gets me though. It's just daunting to think about reading a single book that is 1,700 pages long. Maybe that is just my memories of having to lug around a 1,000 page novel before I got my kindle.
/Of course I am also the one who is reading the entire Wheel of Time series this year... which is 12,000+ pages and counting. But it's broken up into 14 books so that makes it better!

Or something.
