I don't have a feeling one way or the other about the term "mommy porn". There are men who also claim to enjoy this style of writing, and I'm a "mommy" who doesn't, so to me the term is not terribly applicable.
To me it's no different than the term "Chick Flick" even though my husband and I both equally enjoy watching Beaches, and for the same reasons, and cry at the same parts, even. He rolls his eyes at the term "Chick Flick" as if women only corner the market on being able to cry at a well choreographed sappy scene set to "Wind Beneath My Wings?"
My husband also enjoys the book Pride and Prejudice even though it's colloquially known as "classic chick lit".
