I just finished Stone Spring by Stephen Baxter. It's the first book in a alternate history trilogy. It's a decent look back at a "might have been" in North-West Europe in prehistoric times. It has the feel of Baxter's sweeping, epic storytelling, but while it's entertaining it's not incredible.

I'm going to the library tomorrow to pick up a *paper* copy of David Brin's Existence. I've wanted to read it for a little while but couldn't convince myself to fork over $14.99 for an ebook. I just hope the print's large enough.
