Yeah, when I saw this, my first thought was that this was a strange fit for Ron Moore. These books are historical romance. There is no fantasy/scifi element besides the portal.

My second thought was that if he thought sci-fi fans included a significant percentage of entitled, nitpicky, impossible to please fans, he is in for an unpleasant surprise if he thinks the romance crowd is any better. (And they are far less savvy, as a group, about the realities of adaptation and TV production.)
