This series doesn't much look like my cup of tea, but then I didn't think I'd be into Game of Thrones before it aired, either, and ended up loving it (I think Peter Dinklage had a lot to do with that).

I'm not sure how much magic gets involved beyond the "Oops, I slipped through a time-henge!" premise.
