Well... Not really... though the differences where less obvious before.
Some sideloaded fonts used to only work properly with KePubs in .14 and .16 - and still do.
Also if there were margins or line-spacing or justification set in the epub the Touch was not able to override that and use custom settings (unlike kepubs - custom settings were always possible) - not sure if you can count that, though.
But now the differences are big - so I hope they will combine both:
Hyphenation only when justified and using the dictionary to correctly hyphenate in both epub and kepub. That would be lovely.
