I asked Corey Doctorow why his books aren't available from Amazon for the Kindle. He said it was because they insisted on him using DRM and he refuses to sell ebooks with DRM.
As to the O'Reilly news this is great! Why bother with the book from Amazon if you can get the same from O'Reily withoug the Amazon baggage?
