Look, our local authority worked on a project with a permanent IBM team, along with a fairly large and experienced "task-force", and a large budget, for 2-3 years, to link up and re-organise all the finances of a number of authorities, to make things more efficient and cost-effective.
Council employees were in fact put on contract for this important and new venture.
But, even the might of IBM and the experience of the council staff could get the thing bug-free enough to function correctly.
The scheme was abandoned and IBM went home.
So what chance has anyone of getting a little ereader to function OK out of the box .....
