@saidaflyguy, I don't know of a way to get the book off you're iPad, but knowing the way Apple has things locked down I'm guessing you're iPad would have to be jailbroken so you could access the file system. Unless you can transfer using Calibre's connect to iTunes feature?

Here's a thread on Calibre + iThings. I didn't see anything that looked like it would help, but I don't really know much about iThings at this point, maybe you'll see something I didn't...
