No, no studies. Look around you. How many people are doing whatever they do with their time because of economic incentives? Creating/inventing takes work, I've done a little. Incentives should cause them to do that work. Look at countries that have blocked incentives (mostly, but not all, Marxist), and look at the rate of inventions and other IP coming from them compared to other countries where incentives are not blocked.
