I've already had issues with library audio books--(when I download the odm file to a flash drive, the book won't subsequently download on the computer with the Overdrive console)--but for a free "read," I'm willing to put up with some difficulty. I'm not willing to deal with all the confusion with something I pay for and ostensibly own.

I think I will buy CD versions of the very few audio books I'd like to own. Then I will know they're really mine.

Most Audible books are burnable to cd but it is time consuming. There are ways to cirumvent the drm and create mp3 files but that is also a bit of a hassle. Still they are alot cheaper then buying the cd editions so may be worth it.
