been playing with the new updates, overall a positive step i feel.
in the desktop the feel is improved though i'm still having some lagging/freezing issues (is an older laptop so could just be too CPU intensive) i like the rearrangement of the desktops shelves and the pin/wishlist feature. however to take this further i would like to see one be able to search for a title and pin it straight to wishlist without adding it to the library first.
i am disappointed that the reading life stats are not on the desktop still (not sure this ever will be done or possible but it would be a great addition as i think it would be easier to browse through your awards on the desktop than the ereader, and they'd be in colour to

)
i agree with comments similar to this one.....

i liked the carousel once i realised i could change it to the shortlist. i don't think it's a deal breaker removing it per se, but an option to let us choose would be great. i.e

i am stumped on the 'discover' tab being above the book covers on the front screen. it seems a waste of real estate to me and confusing being where it is (too close to 'reading' and the covers and i spent awhile thinking maybe 'reading' was therefore a link to but it isn't). and then down the bottom you have 'find books'. which, in my opinion, is just doubling up; and pushing more towards advertising and more purchases than being able to see what you already have on your reader. i do like the discover option on the desktop - there it easy to navigate and be able to read synopses quickly but on the ereader it's a complete annoyance.
i was having issues with the wifi dying on me all the time, touch wood it is now working i.e i can sync and access the store via wifi and not usb or having to delete the wifi settings and rescan it again. i hope this stays working. major thumbs up there.
my georgia font went a bit awry. played with a few others (back to georgia though re-tweaked) and do like the weighting option. i think there could still be some improvements on the margins i.e the step between one margin size and the next seems too large. i had this prob before. i have read the top margin is fixed but haven't tried a book yet i had that issue on, but i'm very glad it was a fix.
the definition on a word coming straight up is a great improvement. the time thing doesn't bother me, never used it anyway but the box that pops up will take some time to get used to. and having it on the left instead of the right
only other thing i noticed is i chose 'categories' at some point/somewhere and it went to the online store (not what i was expecting but had no idea what it did) and the categories were a few text lines crammed up into the top left corner and were difficult to select. i'm not sure if it was meant to be like this.

mmm anything else?

that's all that springs to mind right now, overall a
