They had that problem licked in the previous firmware, though: the clock would only display for about ten seconds then it would collapse into an icon that had to be tapped if you wanted to display the time again (it's the same way now, only it's less accessible than previously). Like I said earlier, the implementation was perfect, and I have no idea why they felt the need to change it.
